Metal Fixed Braces

Fixed orthodontic appliances, otherwise known as braces, are highly effective at improving the alignment of teeth. These appliances consist of a system of brackets and wires that work together to gradually move teeth into their desired positions. Fixed orthodontic appliances are suitable for patients of all ages and can address a wide range of dental issues, including overcrowding, spacing, and misaligned bites.

Designed to be durable and reliable, fixed orthodontic appliances are securely attached to the teeth, providing a constant force that guides tooth movement over time. They are made from high-quality metals that are both comfortable and safe to wear.

Metal fixed appliances are the quickest and most cost-effective way of straightening teeth. We offer metal fixed braces from £1800.

Ceramic (Semi-Invisible) Fixed Braces

Ceramic fixed appliances offer a discreet and aesthetic alternative to traditional metal braces, specifically designed to address dental issues while maintaining a more natural appearance. These appliances consist of brackets made from ceramic material that closely matches the colour of teeth, blending seamlessly with the patient's smile.

Ceramic fixed appliances function similarly to traditional braces, utilising wires to gently move teeth into proper alignment. The wires have a white plastic coating to help them blend in with the colour of the teeth. Ceramic brackets are resistant to staining, ensuring that they remain inconspicuous throughout the treatment process.

Ceramic braces provide accurate control over tooth movement and can be used to treat almost any kind of orthodontic problem. Ceramic fixed appliances are usually a quicker and cheaper treatment option than aligners such as Invisalign. We offer ceramic fixed braces from £2175.

Invisalign

Invisalign treatment is a popular and innovative orthodontic solution that offers patients a virtually invisible way to straighten their teeth. Instead of using traditional braces, Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners that gradually shift the teeth into the desired position.

These aligners are made from a smooth and comfortable plastic material, making them highly discreet and comfortable to wear. They are removable, allowing patients to easily take them out for eating, brushing, and flossing, which contributes to better oral hygiene throughout the treatment process.

Invisalign treatment begins with a detailed assessment of your teeth and the creation of a customised treatment plan. The aligners are then designed to fit snugly over your teeth, applying gentle pressure to gradually move them into alignment. Every two weeks, you will switch to a new set of aligners to continue the progression of the treatment. We offer Invisalign treatment from £2800.

Functional Appliances

Functional appliances are a type of brace used in children to treat misaligned jaws. They are particularly useful in patients whose bottom jaw has not grown as much as their top jaw resulting in a gap between the top and bottom teeth (known as an increased overjet). They are highly effective at reducing the prominence of the upper teeth in patients who have an increased overjet. Most patients will require treatment with fixed braces to straighten the teeth following initial treatment with a functional appliance.

In certain cases, the use of a functional appliance can mean that it is possible to avoid the need for adult teeth to be extracted as part of orthodontic treatment.

The most common type of functional appliance is the Twin Block Appliance which is a removable brace. Fixed functional appliances, which are attached to a fixed brace, are also available. Our fee for treatment with a Twin Block removable functional appliance is £750.
