Meet the Team
At North West Orthodontics, we have two specialist, consultant orthodontists, Laura and Liam, who are dedicated to providing patients with the highest standard of orthodontic care. With their expertise and passion for creating beautiful, healthy smiles, you can be confident you are in safe hands.
Laura Ewbank
BChD, MSc, MFDS RCSEng, MOrth RCSEng, FDS(Orth) RCSEng
Laura studied dentistry at The University of Leeds, graduating in 2015.

Following this she went on to gain a variety of experience with her vocational training as well as hospital jobs in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry.
​
Laura carried out her orthodontic training at University Dental Hospital of Manchester, Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. She was awarded a Membership in Orthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons of England and gained a distinction in her MSc in Orthodontics from The University of Manchester.

Laura is registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council and holds memberships with both the British Orthodontic Society and The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
​
Laura has achieved her Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons and is accredited as a Consultant Orthodontist . She works at The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary and Manchester Dental Hospital.
Liam Monaghan
BDS, MSc, MFDS RCSEd, MOrth RCSEd, FDS(Orth) RCSEd
Liam studied dentistry at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2015.

He then spent a year in general dental practice in Cheshire before spending two years working in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units across different hospitals in the Northwest of England, gaining the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons.
​
Liam then undertook three years of specialist training in Orthodontics at the University Dental Hospital Manchester and the Royal Blackburn Hospital. He was awarded Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and also gained an MSc with distinction in clinical orthodontics from Manchester University.

Liam has achieved the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons and is accredited as a Consultant Orthodontist. He is also on the GDC specialist list in orthodontics and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society.
​
Liam works at Royal Preston Hospital and Manchester Dental Hospital.
